The word resumé means "to summarize." Therefore, the actual purpose of a resume is to summarize your work experience, knowledge, skills, and accomplishments.
The objective of your resume is to land an interview, and the interview will land you the job(hopefully!). A resume is an advertisement, nothing more, nothing less.
When companies face formidable competition from global players, smartest solution is to go for accelerated innovation. That calls for team work and seamless communication. Considering these challenges, companies can't afford to carry a misfit in the team.
Most interviewees say, their main fear originating from the thought of entering into an interview room all alone, that increases heartbeat, tighten body muscles and shut off the brain. In a mock interview, he/she never gets that feeling of isolation. Imagine all the people (sometimes, including a cameraman!) present during a mock interview.
Where are strange interviewers, who scare candidates? In most mock interviews candidates face interviewers who are familiar to them. (sometimes, the trainer himself is the interviewer!).

You received an interview call. Take it as a honour. Someone wants to meet you, talk to you and wants to look for all possibilities to hire you. Is it a reason to get tensed? It is an opportunity to celebrate and to do your best.
It is a universally recognised communication technique designed to enable you to provide a meaningful and complete answer to questions asking for examples. At the same time, it has the advantage of being simple enough to be applied easily.
The ability to establish realistic and feasible goals is an important management skill. Your response to this question should demonstrate that you follow a logical, rational process when setting goals for yourself or for the members of your team.
You may have noticed that almost anyone can make a plan, but not everyone can carry it out. The ability to execute the steps of a plan, monitor the results, and make adjustments if necessary, are important management skills. Your response to this question should indicate that you have systematic, logical method for ensuring that you can actually achieve the goals that you have set.
For example, if you want to work for a stock broking or a financial services company, you probably don't want to portray yourself as a manager who makes decisions based on gut feelings rather than hard data. Similarly, if you're interviewing to be an air traffic controller, it's best not to admit that you like to sleep on things before making up your mind.

Therefore, you need to reassure them that you will fit in at the company, get along with your coworkers, actively contribute to the company's well-being and progress, and not add to the challenges that they already face.
You must anticipate questions originating out of this concern. The primary strategy for dealing with this type of question is to provide information about how you have reacted in the past and to show there will be no unpleasant surprises from you in the future. Demonstrate that you get along well with others and can relate to people at all levels of the company's hierarchy. Be sure to:
List your interpersonal skills and describe methods you use to deal with people.
Give examples of your interactions with former superiors.
Talk about teams you have worked with and the tasks you accomplished together.
Share positive comments others have made about you.
Discuss other people (such as former colleagues, bosses, or clients) only in positive terms.
Describe how you maintain strong communication within your professional environment.

Doing your best means preparing your best. From my experience from both sides - as an interviewee and as an interviewer - one thing I can tell you: 95% of interview questions are predictable. Follow ideas given at InterviewMax programs or as expalined in Espoir Smart Interview Companion.
Relax! Think of it as an adventure. Try to enjoy yourself. Imagine that the interviewer is a sports star, famous author, or movie celebrity you've always admired. (Try to overlook the middle-aged paunch or glaring bald spot.)
Keep Smiling. No, not a fake grin. Just maintain a pleasant, relaxed smile that is, hopefully, a by-product of your involvement in an interesting conversation. Put yourself in the interviewer's place. Who wouldn't want to work with such an agreeable person?
Be Enthusiastic. About the position, your accomplishments, and what you know about the company. But don't gush-if you're not genuinely enthusiastic, you'll come across as a phony.
Be Honest. Lying about even the smallest or least important details could be grounds for immediate dismissal.
Make Lots of Eye Contact. Not making eye contact raises suspicion. You don't want your interviewer wondering anything of the sort. So meet his or her eyes while you're shaking hands, then frequently throughout the interview. But don't stare-unrelenting eye contact is as bad as none at all.
Remain Positive. As we'll see when we discuss questions about your previous jobs, you must learn to put a positive spin on everything, but especially loaded issues, such as your reason for leaving a job, troubled relations with your superiors, or the lack of required qualifications.
Don't let an unskilled interviewer trip you up. Make sure the preparation you've spent so much time on comes shining through, especially when a manager throws you a curve. First of all consider you as a product that is to be launched in the employment market. What are your USPs (Unique Selling Propositions)? Believe in your strengths. Then, package yourself in such a way that it will be attractive to your prospective customer ( interviewer). Just follow the following steps and you will see the difference in any interview!
“I evaluate the situation before I decide what I need to do. If there is someone who has had experience with similar situations, I'm not afraid to ask for advice.”
The interviewer will infer that this interviewee isn't going to make a decision without considering it carefully. He is also very resourceful; seeking advice from people with more experience is always a good idea.
If you are bucking for a management position, you'll also want to take this opportunity to convince the interviewer that your relationship skills have made you management material, or at least set you on the way to achieving that goal.
You might say something like this:
"When I'm faced with an important decision, I ask the advice of others. I try to consider everything. But ultimately, I'm the one who decides. I guess that's why they say, it's lonely at the top.' The higher you go in management, the more responsibility you have and the more decisions you have to make by yourself."
As you noticed, this is a nice general answer. However, as we train through InterviewMax, this is not fully convincing. You may run into an inter-viewer who decides to probe to see if the "rubber meets the road," following up with something like, "Okay, tell me about the last important decision you had to make, how you went about making it, and the results you achieved."
Can you match in particulars the nice general answer given above? Or do you inadvertently show you do things completely differently (better or worse) than you just said you did?

I like to write out my goals, much like we would do for a proposal, then follow a basic project management methodology, using project milestones to mark progress towards larger goals.
Organization, as well as diligence, is essential to achieving my goals. I boil my goals down to an increasingly granular level, monthly, weekly, daily, and try to be at least six months ahead for work-related goals. It’s hard to be much further ahead than that, because everything changes.
Setting goals is a matter of looking at the company’s and your division’s strategic objectives and breaking those objectives down into increasingly granular, actionable tactics. I regularly update a whiteboard next to my desk to visualize changing goals.
I make sure, within my own knowledge and experience, that the goal is attainable. That doesn’t mean it can’t be challenging or "out there." But it has to be within the realm of realism. Then I construct a path back from the goal to wherever I am at the moment. I see how that has worked for me in the past by looking back from where I am now to where I was a year or two or even three years ago.

From my experience, I would like to say that not one resume in a hundred follows the principles that stir the interest of prospective employers. Another important point: Nowadays, most companies are using digital databases to search for candidates. Guess what, if your resume doesn't have the keywords related to the job you are applying for, you will be out even before the game starts.
Your resume needs to speak to the job you are applying for.
Make sure your grammar and spelling are correct.
Have your employment dates in chronological order (most recent to oldest).
If there is a gap in your work history, give a clear and honest explanation.
Do not use abbreviations or acronyms that are indecipherable to the reader.
Do not put your Passport/Driving Licence/Social Security number on your resume.
Do not put your references on your resume. You can supply them when you are closer to getting the job.
Many interviewers will have been trained in using the STAR structure. Even if they have not, they will recognise its value when they see it. The information will be given to them in a structured manner and, as a result, they will become more receptive to the messages you are trying to communicate.
